How to Evaluate a Nozzle Check

Whether missing several nozzles or missing just one 'tic' as shown in the first two images below, color shifts and/or banding can occur.  The only acceptable nozzle check is the third image as it is not missing any nozzles.  If your nozzle check is perfect in all colors, the printer is ready for use.  If you are missing one 'tic' or larger areas of the nozzle check, proceed to Head Cleaning.
