Job Description

This position entails the mixing of dye-based ink slurries and various hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals. This position will also be operating multiple pieces of milling equipment for the production of ink slurry. the success of Production by mass producing high quality finished product on a day to day basis. This position requires diversity in skills, technical knowledge, quality output, and efficiency.  Quality, technical knowledge, and efficiency are a tool used to measure this position’s success.  Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and excellent verbal / written communication skills are a must.  Consistent cleanliness and organization are critical to success in this role.

Job Duties and Tasks

  • Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality.
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.Collect hazardous or non-hazardous waste in correctly labeled barrels or other containers and transfer them to collection areas.
  • Build product subassemblies or final assemblies.
  • Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
  • Prepare and assemble materials.
  • Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
  • Build packaging for finished products.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Keep production logs.
  • Maintain inventory of job materials.
  • Package finished products.
  • Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements.
  • Prepare production documents, such as standard operating procedures, manufacturing batch records, inventory reports, or productivity reports.
  • Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors.
  • Set up and verify the functionality of safety equipment.
  • Start up and shut down processing equipment.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Clean production equipment or work areas.
  • Install new equipment.
  • Measure and record data associated with operating equipment.
  • Provide advice or training to other technicians.
  • Select cleaning materials, tools, or equipment.
  • Ship packages, following carrier specifications.
  • Conduct environmental safety inspections in accordance with standard protocols to ensure production activities comply with environmental regulations or standards.
  • Separate scrap or waste materials for recycling, reuse, or environmentally sound disposal.
  • Transfer hazardous or non-hazardous waste materials to collection areas for disposal, recycling, or reuse.


  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time, possibly entire shifts.
  • The ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
  • Current forklift license.
  • Required to wear steel-toe boots.


  • Industrial Mixing experience
  • Ball Mill Operation experience
