How To: Graduation Mousepad

Graduation Mousepad:

1. Go to the "Blank Products" tab in CreativeStudio and use the search bar to look for mousepad.
2. Now that you have the blank canvas set up for a mousepad go to the "Backgrounds" tab and click on the “Graduation” premium folder.  Select the stars design.
3. Click on the “select all” icon at the top, use the black square on one of the corners to drag in and out to resize to cover the entire mousepad area, click on select all to release the layers. 
4. Next click on the “Designs” icon and scroll down and click on the “Graduation” premium folder and select the congratulations design.
5. Now let’s bring in 2 squares click on the “Elements” icon and scroll down and click on the shapes icon, Click on the black square.
6. Uncheck the lock aspect ratio on the right of the screen and resize using the squares you want this to be bigger than your congratulations design.
7. Change the color of the square white by clicking on the fill color icon on the right.
8. Move the square behind the congratulations and the boarder by clicking on the send backwards icon.
9. Repeat these steps to create a smaller grey square in front of the white square the HEX code color I use was #c5c5c5.
10.  Upload a photo by clicking on the “Galleries” Icon and clicking on my images from here you can click on upload image and select a photo then click save.
11. Click on your image and resize by using the black squares or click on the crop icon on the right.
12. Now click on the send backwards icon until the image is behind the congratulations and the hat.
13. Resize and rotate the hat to fit on the head of the person in the photo.
14. Move the Congratulations up and click on the Text icon and click on the creative studio folder, scroll down and select the “Allura” font on the right you will find the text box type out the person's name and year, resize by dragging the size bar to the right then change the color by clicking on the fill color icon, move the name under the congratulations.
15. Now we are ready to print, click on the "print" Icon at the top right the printer should be set on the Sawgrass SG 500, paper size US letter, product mousepad, and change color mode to photographic next click on print. Sawgrass Print Manager should pop up and click on print.
16. Turn on and set your heat press to 400F and your time to 45 Seconds.
17. Lint roll and pre-press for 5 seconds.
18. Place your mousepad face down on the printed design apply heat tape on both sides.
19. Place the mousepad on the lower heat platen with the paper face up and cover the printed design with blowout paper and press for 45 seconds.
20. Slowly lift top platen and quickly remove the printed design 😊 Enjoy!
