How To: Seventies Inspired Shimmer Tote Bag

Seventies Inspired Shimmer Tote Bag:

1. Go to the "Blank Products" tab in CreativeStudio and click on the “Tote Bag” Icon, go to page 2, and then scroll down to “bag polyester canvas.”
2. Go to the "Designs" tab and click on the “Retro Magic” Premium folder.  We’re going to use the “Disco Ball Magic” pattern.
3. Click on “Select All” in the top panel.  Resize the design to fit.
4. Click on “Select All” again to deselect.
5. To fill the entire area, duplicate the design and match up the two patterns.  You will need to move each piece individually.  
6. To add the circles, go to “Elements,” and then “Shapes.”  There, select a circle
7. We added three circles, making each one a little smaller.
8. In our example, we selected each circle and did a fill color from the right side.  We used hex code #ef4787 for the outside circle, hex code #f8ac1b for the middle, and # f26a24 for the inner circle.
9. To add the text, go to the text feature on the left, and then to the “CreativeStudio” folder.  Select the font “Kavoon.”  In the right text box, type in the phrase of your choice.  We used “Dancing Queen.”
10. Go to the right and use “fill color” to change the text color.  We used Hex Code #9459a4.
11. To add an outline to the text to help it pop, on the right menu go to “outline color” and choose your color.  We used Hex Code # fdea9d.
12. Now, go the stroke slider just below and adjust the thickness.
13. Now we are ready to print, click on the "print" Icon at the top right the printer should be set on the Sawgrass SG 1000, paper size Tabloid, product “Polyester,” and change color mode to “vivid.”  Then, you will click on print.
14. If you want to place the design on both sides of the bag, when Sawgrass Print Manager pops up, go to the “Jobs” tab and change the number of copies to 2.  This will give you the same content to put on both sides of the bag.
15. Turn on and set your heat press to 400F and your time to 45 Seconds.
16. Run a lint roller over the bag to remove any dust or fibers before sublimating.
17. Place one design face down and center on the bag, tape down the printed design with heat tape on all sides.
18. Place the bag on the lower heat platen and cover the printed design with blowout paper and press for 45 seconds.
19. Once you remove the bag from the press, tape the second design to the second side and repeat the above step.
20. Slowly lift top platen and quickly remove the printed design.  😊 Enjoy!
